Michael James "Fitzy" Fitzpatrick, aged 36, passed away on September 17, 2024, in Clearwater, FL. Born on April 22, 1988, in Newton, MA, Michael was a beloved son, uncle, and friend to many. He was a spirited member of his community. Michael graduated from Stoughton High and furthered his education at the University of Tampa, followed by the Florida Coastal School of Law, where he excelled academically and made lasting friendships. He was a vibrant individual known for his love of skateboarding, the Boston Red Sox, and fox body Mustangs.
A cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, Michael is survived by his mother, Linda Callahan Fitzpatrick; father, Lawrence Fitzpatrick and his wife, Jennifer; brother, Lawrence Fitzpatrick and his wife, Brittany; nephew and nieces, Lawrence “Wren”, Caitriona, and Saoirse Fitzpatrick; step-sister Jillian and her husband Daniel Lambe; grandmother, Jean Callahan; and numerous aunts and uncles as well as his beloved cats Spooky and Kayley James Fitzpatrick. He was preceded in death by his uncles, Brian Fitzpatrick, and George “Gigi” Callahan, as well as his grandparents, Lawrence and Dorothy “Cookie” Fitzpatrick, and great grandparents, George and Nora Goodwin.
Visitation will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton, on Wednesday, September 25th from 9-10:30 AM, with Graveside Prayers to follow at 11 AM at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's memory may be made to Ellen M. Gifford Cat Shelter at https://www.giffordcatshelter.org/
Michael's legacy will be remembered by all those he touched with his spirited personality and big heart. His family invites friends, acquaintances, and colleagues to join them in celebrating his life and contributions to his community.
