Michael Flaharty Obituary
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stan and Alice Flaharty; his brother, Sonny Flaharty; and his sister, Sharon Detro.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Sue Flaharty; his sons, Sean Flaharty, and Kevin Flaharty and wife Tricia; his grandsons, Spencer Flaharty and Ryan O'Dell; and his stepdaughter, Janice Shriver and husband Robert(Bob).
Mike was a proud Vietnam Veteran who served his country and fellow countrymen with all his heart. Through a career of more than 40 years in the broadcasting industry, he traveled this great country and met people from all walks of life. He was also a talented bass player who deeply loved music.
Mike dedicated his time as a volunteer with Upper Arlington Lutheran Church (UALC) and the Vietnam Veterans of America, always willing to help wherever there was a need. He had a true servant's heart and never met a stranger-he genuinely loved talking with people.
Mike will always be remembered for his faith in God, his big smile, his unwavering commitment to his family, his love of music, and his deep love for his country.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday February 3rd, 2026 at 11 AM at Ferguson Funeral Home 202 East Main Street Plain City, Ohio 43064.
