Michael A. Fontanarosa

Michael A. Fontanarosa, 66 of Monroe Township, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Home in Monroe Township. Born Thursday, November 6, 1958 in Brooklyn, New York. Michael was a long-time Huguenot resident, well known on S.I. with many friends he has known for decades who cared deeply for him. Michael was loved, and always will be loved by his heartbroken family. Michael's family will always hold him in their broken hearts. Anyone who knew Michael would say he had a heart of gold and would always help those less fortunate. Michael had a special gift. He was funny and could make everyone laugh - he always had a joke to tell, and his past time - he enjoyed bowling. Michael retired to Monroe, New Jersey, after his career in the Carpenters Union. He loved to work and be productive. His future goal was to volunteer time with young children or help the elderly. Michael will be missed dearly by many, taken too soon. May he rest in peace, with our Lord Almighty. Michael's family asks that you pray for him, as he always prayed when he woke up another day and always thanked God. A Mass of Chrisitian Burial will be offered at 11:00 AM on Friday at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church located at 5411 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312. There will be no wake services.
