Michael Frino

Michael Frino, age 90, of Estero, FL, passed away with his family close by on May 29, 2022, at Gulf Coast Medical Center, Fort Myers, FL.
Michael was born in Blue Anchor, NJ on May 28, 1932 to John and Margaret Frino. He grew up in Newark, NJ where he graduated from Westside High School. Michael was a veteran with the US Navy, serving for four years during the Korean War. He resided in Bedminster, NJ and Manahawkin, NJ prior to moving to Estero, FL in 2016. Michael was a talented hairdresser whose business acumen enabled him to open his first hair salon at a very young age. Based on the success of the first salon, Michael opened 2 additional locations and enjoyed decades of great success. Together with his devoted and hard-working wife of 59 years, Michael & Virginia's unrelenting focus on family and education is what enabled each of their children to become incredibly successful.
Michael is survived by his wife of 59 years, Virginia Frino (Woodruff) of Estero, FL as well as his children Diane Dean and husband Jim, Michael Frino, Jr. and John Frino and wife Sherry. Lovingly known as "Poppy", he is also survived by his grandchildren, James Dean, Christopher Dean and his fiancé Victoria Talbot, Marissa Dean and Madeline Frino.
