Michael Lester Gardner

Mr. Michael Lester Gardner, age 69, of Canton passed away January 30, 2026.

His funeral will be held Sunday February 8, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Hannah officiating. Interment will follow the service in Heard County Memorial Gardens.

The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home Sunday afternoon from 12:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Mr. Gardner was born March 1, 1956 in Spalding County to the late Lester Eugene Gardner and Helen Virginia Preston Gardner. He was a Baptist by faith.

Survivors include: children: Celena Wise of Canton, Amber Nichols (Terry) of Dalton, Jason Michael Gardner (Stephanie) of Wisconsin, Jeremy Lee Gardner (Meaghan) of Acworth, Brian Buchanan (Rebecca) of Newnan, Crystal Bramlett of Roanoke, Holly Knight (Charlie) of Newnan, and Larry Wise of Franklin; grandchildren: Breonna Palmer, Christian Michael Gardner, Rowan Lane Gardner, Rory Lee Gardner; Jackson Buchanan, Cooper Buchanan, Laiken Willis, Jaley Willis (Jamal Owens), Kayla Bramlett, Abigail Bramlett, Allison Bramlett, Skylee Knight, Charlie Knight, and Curtis Knight; a number of great-grandchildren; one sister, Teresa Thompson (Cary) of Stockbridge; one brother, John Walter Gardner (Lisa) of Glennville, GA; special friends: Landon Dickerson and his wife, Natasha of Canton; and the Bradshaw Crew; and a number of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Gardner, and a sister, Karen Somers.
