A celebration of Michael's life will be 6:00 PM on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel.
Michael was born and raised in Onslow County and graduated from Southwest Onslow High School. He was an avid Miami Dolphins and NC State Fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Garrett; and brother, John Oates.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda Farley Garrett; children, Morgan Garrett, Ashlee Garrett, and Michael Garrett; grandchildren, Skylar Garrett and Kayden Garrett; step-mother, Linda Garrett; mother Kathleen Ohlin; siblings, Beverly Graham, Katy Puccio (Larry), Lee Ohlin, Deborah Padgett (Randy); and many loving members of the extended family.
The family will receive friends Friday, prior to the service, from 5:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home. In honor of Michael, please wear your favorite sports team attire.
