Michael R. Gaseor

Michael R. Gaseor, known affectionately as Mike to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, in Elkhart, Indiana, at the age of 69. Born on March 3, 1956, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Robert and Dorothy (George) Gaseor, Mike was the brother to his surviving sister Frances (Leon) Jagla of Bradenton, FL, and uncle to Angela Olinger of Round Lake, IL, great uncle to Hanna Doyle of South Bend, IN, and Allyson Elsasser of Elkhart, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Kathleen Gaseor, and his sister Paula Andreson.
A proud graduate of Holy Cross Elementary in 1970, Mike carried his early education's lessons throughout his life. He continued his academic journey at Lasalle High School, graduating with the class of 1974 before pursuing higher education at Indiana University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in 1978. Inspired by his father's career, Mike dedicated 42 years to a successful career as a claims adjuster, becoming a cherished colleague and a respected professional in his field.
Mike had an enduring passion for sports. He could often be found cheering on the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Blackhawks, and he never missed watching the Mid-American Conference football games, where he supported his teams with zeal. He was an ardent animal lover and found great joy in caring for his Siberian huskies Bandit, A.J., Jerry Lee, and Jake. Mike's love for his pets was well-known, and their companionship brought him immense happiness.

At this time per Mike's wishes no services are planned. Palmer Funeral Home – Guisinger Chapel is honored to be assisting the family with final arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be donated in Mike's name to a person in need.
