Michael Benjamin Gentry

Michael Benjamin Gentry, age 71, a resident of Umpire, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025, at his home.
He was born on April 15, 1954, in New Mexico. He was a member of the Church of Nazarene in Texarkana, Texas. He loved working and restoring antique cars and enjoyed watching sports on TV. He was a service manager for over 35 years for Orr Chevrolet and McLarty Ford.
Mr. Gentry was preceded in death by his parents, A.G. and Kathryn Wolf Gentry; his previous wife, Marilyn Gentry.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Gentry of Umpire; his children, Cristin and Joey Boatright of Cibolo, Texas, Phillip and Bethany Stayton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Matthew and Ashlee Gentry of Texarkana, Texas, Josh and Camryn Markham of Umpire, Arkansas, Kelsey Ward of New Hope, Arkansas, Maria and husband Nick Mayes of Williamsburg, Virginia; two brothers, Larry Gentry of Texarkana, Texas, Curt and Jan Gentry of Chandler, Arizona; three sisters, Patsy and Mickey Evers of Texarkana, Texas, Gina and Ricky Rosson of Wickes, Arkansas, and Cheryl Sullivan and James Humphrey of Texarkana, Texas; eleven grandchildren, Nolan, Charlie, Tyler, Salyer, Kate, Caroline, Sawyer, Landry, Benji, Gus, and Josey, and a number of nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Funeral Service for Mr. Gentry will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2025, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen with Curt Gentry officiating.
