Michael Gibb Obituary
He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Des Moines, where he played baseball and football and was a four-year starter on the varsity wrestling team. He continued his education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
Following his college graduation, Michael moved to California and applied his ambition to the emerging tech industry. Over the course of nearly 30 years, he worked for major corporations including IBM, HP, Oracle and ION Group, where he served as the Analytics Solutions Senior Account Executive.
Michael took great pride in being a father. Family vacations were adventurous, introducing his children to many activities including skiing and surfing, and instilling a love of nature.
He is survived by his parents, Robert (Rebecca) Gibb and Judith (Lynn) Coverdell; children, Lilian Gibb and Jacob Gibb and their mother, Serena; siblings, Christopher (Ana) Gibb, Ginger (Roger) Nearmyer, Jennifer (Craig) Rackham, Katherine (Tyler) Brewton, Ian Gibb and Kristen Forret; uncles, William (Gloria) Gallagher, M.D. and Barry Gallagher; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and an abundance of friends.
Michael had a magnetic personality that drew people to him, a remarkable laugh and a big heart. He will be sorely missed.
A private service will be held in California and a Celebration of Life will be held in the fall in the St. Louis area.

JlI can't believe it's been a year. Just thinking about the loved one's left behind. I hope and pray that the family is doing good mentality, physically and spiritually. Blessings.
