Michael "Mick" Joseph Gill, 71, of Dayton, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 11, 2025. He was formerly from Port Orange, Florida. Michael was a 1971 graduate of Seabreeze High School in Daytona Beach, Florida. He was an avid lifelong fisherman, he loved to metal detect, kayak and grow his giant sunflowers. He knew so many interesting and in-depth facts about the bands and music of his time. But mostly, he loved spending time with his grandkids. His was a life well lived surrounded by family. May the love and memories sustain those he left behind. A part of him lives on as an organ donor.

Survivors include his wife, Paula; daughters, Rachel Gabbard (Luke) and Lily Gill; grandchildren: Blaize, Baileigh and Bentlee Horne; sisters: Nora Cochran (Richard), Amy Brogden (Tommy) and Mary Davison (Robert); nieces: Kristi Gittner Miller (Matt), Kellie Cochran (Caleb Moore) and Lindsey Taylor (Chris); and his nephews, Richard and Michael Cochran.
