Mark Allen Maynor, born June 10, 1968, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025 leaving behind a legacy of excellence and dedication. Mark was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend.

Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, Glenn and Louise Skiles and Gene Miller.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Laura Frances Wood Maynor; his loving mother, Sandra Pollard; his son, Joshua Maynor (Shannon); his daughter, Jessica Hamala (Joseph); his brothers, Matt Pollard (Kari) and Brent Maynor (Amber); his aunt, Carolyn Parker (Benny); his uncle, Ricky Skiles; cousins, Eric and Evan Parker; and his in-laws, Rachel Wood and Joseph Miller.

Mark was a cherished and proud grandfather to eleven grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his treasured dogs Esther, Harleigh, Sunday and Scruppy.

Mark graduated from Soddy Daisy High School in 1986, where he was an outstanding athlete in track and field, earning a place at the state level in the pole-vaulting event. Mark then embarked on a distinguished career in the United Sates Navy and became a member of the distinguished Naval Nuclear Program. As a machinist mate, Mark completed Nuclear Power school before attending prototype training. Mark made history and qualified at the S3G prototype in just eight weeks- a record-breaking achievement unmatched since 1958. Mark was also selected to teach prototype for three years.
