Joseph "Dale" Maynor, 78, passed away July 20, 2025, at Wesley Medical Center. Born January 22, 1947 in Beckley, West Virgina to Joseph T. and Jean L. Maynor.
Dale graduated from Valley Center High School in 1965. Dale started working at Cessna Aircraft in 1966, Dale married his high school sweetheart Barbara L. Whitacre the following year. Together, they had two sons Eric and Kevin. Dale worked in many positions at Cessna until his retirement of 40 years in 2006. Dale enjoyed watching West Virginia football and basketball. Dale could always be found at a local car show where he proudly showed off his modified Dodge Dokota. Dale enjoyed smoking cigars and hanging out with his dogs.
He is survived by his children Eric (Karen) Maynor of Derby and Kevin (Michelle) Maynor of Haysville and six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Dale is proceeded in death by is parents Joseph T. Maynor and Jean L. Maynor, brother Wilbur Lynn Maynor, twin brother Thomas "Gale" Maynor and wife Carol Maynor.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 10:00AM at Old Mission Mortuary, 3424 E 21st St. N. Wichita, Kansas 67208.
