Steve A. Rogers passed away surrounded by family on April 28 2025 at the age of 74.
Steve was born on June 24, 1950 in Great Bend, KS to Argene and Grace (Radke) Rogers. He graduated from Valley Center High School in 1969 and then attended Butler County Community College.
Steve married the love of his life, Debbie, on February 7, 1976. Two daughters were born from this union, Stacey (Chris) Hicks and Stephanie (Josh) Johnson. Steve has six grandchildren that are his pride and joy – Blake Johnson, Dylan Hicks, Jayce Johnson, Damon Hicks, Raeann Johnson, and Hayley Hicks. Steve is survived by his sister, Sheila Demetro and his brother Tim (Dorothy) Rogers and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gary, Ronnie and Donnie Rogers.
Steve was employed at Bleiers IGA, Star Lumber, and Kan Am before retiring.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 6 from 6pm to 8pm at Smith Family Mortuary in Derby. Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 7 at noon at Woodlawn United Methodist Church, 431 S. Woodlawn, Derby, KS.
Memorials are established with Woodlawn United Methodist Church, and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.

Debbie, I´m very sorry for Steve´s passing. I vividly remember all our camping and boating outings with "the 6 pack"...you, Steve, Rob, Jenny, Morris, and me. Great times. Candace Dineley (Candy Lewis).
