He is survived by his mother, Peggy (Eugene) Westerhold- Guthrie of Pittsfield, two daughters, Molly (Josh) Hoots of Winchester, Alexis (Trey) Hardee of White Hall, four grandchildren, Karlie Kendall, Greyson and Ellen Hoots, and Benson Hardee, and a brother, Marvin (Cheryl) Gillis of Beardstown.
Michael loved his family so deeply, especially his grandchildren. He was so proud of them all and bragged on them any chance he had. His face lit up any time they were around. He also enjoyed fixing things around the house and anything to do with woodworking. He enjoyed listing to music.
A celebration life services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2023 Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall. The family will meet friends from 10:00 until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com Memorials may be made to the family.

So sorry to hear of Michael's passing. While we are not able to attend the Celebration Service, Michael was our friend. I grew up with his mother Peggy while living in Nebo. He was always pleasant in our personal conversations. Whether it was at County Market or during his time of service at the Pike County Senior Center, Michael always knew us by name and enjoyed our visit. Our love and prayers to his entire family at this time, David and Charlotte Hamilton
