Richard Louvier, 84, of St. Jacob passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025 at White Hall Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 30, 1941 in East St. Louis the son of Francis and Marie Hrasky Louvier. He married Carol Kierejto on June 2, 1962 in East St. Louis and she survives.

He is also survived by two daughters, Tania (Mark) Seger of St. Jacob and Traci Louvier of Witchita, KS; two granddaughters, Heather (Brendan) Wright and Holli (Daniel) Fanning; one great granddaughter, Carsyn Wright; four sisters, Dotsie Wolfbrandt, Pauline Elsing, Loretta Sinnett and Joan Gauch and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl Louvier, Walter Louvier and Charlie Louvier and two sisters, Darlene Costello and Shirley Vlcek.

Mr. Louvier was a mechanic at Wonder Bread and Hostess Cakes for many years. He was a self-taught carpenter and made lots of beautiful furniture through the years. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of Eden Evangelical Church in Edwardsville.

A service to celebrate Richard's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Eden Church 903 N 2nd St. Edwardsville, IL. Memorials are suggested to Eden Church. Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall is assisting the family. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.
