Michael Gioia "Mikey" 16 of Jackson died Wednesday October 8, 2025. Born in Staten Island, NY he resided in Staten Island before moving to Jackson 7 years ago. He was a fulltime student at Jackson Liberty HS and Jackson Twp HS. He played for AYF Football & Liberty High School. He also played soccer and basketball in his younger years. He enjoyed fantasy football and an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved his cat Chloe & dogs Rocket & Minnie. He liked to play video games-Madden & Fortnite, listening to Drake, Bruno Mars & Travis Scott. He was stylish with his Starbucks, Jordans & Birkenstocks, EOS, vanilla scented candles and many colognes. He was a leader and a great friend who lit up every room he entered with aspirations of helping people as a counselor and therapist. Surviving are his parents, Danielle Gioia (James) and Anthony Gioia (Quianda), siblings, Santino, Giovanni, Anthony Jr, Alexandria & Jennie Gioia, his Godmother, Michele Frantzeskos and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation is Monday 12-4 pm & 6-9 PM with a 7 PM service at Oliverie Funeral Home 125 S. Cooks Bridge Rd Jackson.
