Michael Giordano Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Clayton Funeral Home, Inc. - Kings Park on Dec. 19, 2025.
Michael Giordano, age 70, of Smithtown, New York, passed away on December 18, 2025 surrounded by his family. He fought the toughest battles over the past few months and is at peace now.

Michael was born on June 4, 1955, in Hoboken, New Jersey, to the late Theresa and Martin Giordano. He is survived by his brother, Francis Giordano, and was predeceased by his sister Carol Giordano. He grew up surrounded by family and carried those strong family values and good cooking with him throughout his life.

Michael was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Kerri Giordano, and a proud and loving father to his children, Michael, Krista, and Matthew. He was also a cherished grandfather to Gino, who brought him immense joy. He loved being a father and a grandpa more than anything. Family meant everything to Michael, and he treasured every moment spent together. His favorite moments were with his family.

For many years, Michael worked in the roofing industry, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and dedication. He took pride in his work and in providing for those he loved. He made countless amounts of friends who turned into family working in this industry. He always held them so close to his heart.

Michael had a deep love for New York sports and was a passionate fan of the Yankees, Giants, Rangers, and Knicks. He lived to watch these games with his kids and friends. He loved When he wasn't cheering on his teams, he could often be found enjoying time with his family or relaxing at the beach- two of the things he loved most in life. He always said the 70s had the best music and he loved listening to it while driving around to relax. Michael traveled the world as a hitch thicker after high school and had endless stories of the beautiful places and people he encountered.

Those who knew Michael will remember him as kind, devoted, funny, and strong. He had a warm presence, a great sense of humor, and a heart that always put others first. He would make anyone he just met feel like they gained a best friend instantly, who they could cherish for life. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. Michael would give the shirt off his back or the chair from under him to make sure the loved ones around him were taken care of. Words could never explain the funny, gentle, kind, caring, loving, sarcastic, and hardworking man he was. Words also can't ever explain how much he will be missed.
