Michael B. Gonzalez

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael B. Gonzalez, age 27, on Sunday, April 20, 2025, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born on May 7, 1997, in Royal Oak, Michigan, Michael was a beloved resident of New Baltimore, MI, known for his gentle soul and infectious humor.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Dominique, and his adoring family, including his mother, Laurie; father, Michael; stepmother, Jen; sister, Sydney; and step-siblings, Brayden, Jaxen, and Bella. He leaves behind many other family members and countless lifelong friends who loved him dearly. Michael and Dominique were looking forward to their wedding later this year, and his presence will be deeply missed by her parents, Dena, TJ, and Charlie, and brother, Anthony.
A programmer of robotics in the automotive field, Michael had an undeniable passion for technology. His love for the water, especially Lake St Clair, was matched only by his fondness for hats and his gift for making others laugh. Described by many as a gentle soul, Michael never spoke ill of anyone and was loved by many.
Visitation will take place at Wasik Funeral Home - Gendernalik Chapel in New Baltimore, MI, on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A funeral service will follow on Saturday at 1:00 pm, at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Michael's name to Sepsis Alliance or Ronald McDonald House, two organizations close to his heart.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wasik Funeral Home, New Baltimore. Michael B. Gonzalez will forever remain in our hearts, a cherished memory and a symbol of love and kindness. May he rest in peace.
