Michael E. Gore

Gore, Michael E. entered into rest on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 8 days. Born Thursday, February 3, 1949 to the late Thomas E. and Violet J. Gore (nee Kidwell) in St. Louis, Missouri. Preceded in death by all his sibling the late John (Helen) Gore and Steven (Deborah) Gore. Dear uncle of Stephanie (Jimmy Fitzgerald) Ellis, Amanda (David) Riebold, Stella (Danny) Oberkrom, Stevie Gore, Stephen Gore and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. Michael served in the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps and was a proud Vietnam War veteran whose strength, loyalty, and quiet resilience shaped the way he lived his life. Though he did not have children of his own, he was a hero to his nieces and nephews, who knew him as a steady presence and someone they could always count on. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially a good gamble, a cold beer, and time spent with the people he cared about. Mike never cared much for fancy things or excess, choosing instead a straightforward, honest way of living. He valued independence, humor, and showing up for his family. Those who knew him will remember his no-nonsense attitude, his generosity, and the lasting impact he had on the family who loved him. Interment: Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
