Michael E. "Sudsy" Green, of North Cape May, NJ formerly of Grays Ferry, passed away on October 30, 2024 at the age of 67. Beloved husband of 45 years to Jeannie (nee Kennedy) Green. Loving father of Michael Patrick (Annamarie) Green. Brother of Henry (Barb), Steve (Maureen) and the late Tommy. Loving son of the late Henry J. and Frances (nee Hague) Green. Also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Throughout his life, Michael was a hardworking and respected member of Teamster Local #326. He also poured his heart into his work as a bartender, where his unfiltered honesty and quick wit made him a beloved figure at the Tasker Tavern, Herk's Place, O'Flynn's, and Keenans. His ability to tell it like it is, coupled with his genuine care for others, made him a friend to many and an unforgettable character to all who crossed his path.
Beyond his professional life, Sudsy was an enthusiastic member of the Elks Club, Moose Club, Bocce Club and the Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH). His passion for community and camaraderie shone through his involvement with these organizations. His legacy will live on through the stories shared, the lessons he taught, and the warm memories that remain in the hearts of those he touched.
As we remember Michael E. Green, let us celebrate the man who lived life on his own terms, who loved deeply, laughed heartily, and always stayed true to himself. His spirit will continue to guide and inspire us.
Relatives, friends, and the members of Teamster Local #326 are invited to his Funeral Mass 11:30 A.M. Thursday, November 7, 2024 at St. Gabriel's Church, 2917 Dickinson Street, Philadelphia, PA 19146 where family and friends may call 9:30-11:15 A.M. at the Church.
Interment at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, family request contributions be made to the Katie Kirlin Fund, 229 Wolf Street, Philadelphia PA 19148. http://www.katiekirlinfund.org/contact.html
