Michael Gross, age 78 of Louisville passed away on January 2, 2025.
Mike was a graduate of Flaget High School Class of 1964. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired as a letter carrier from the United States Postal Service.
Mike will be warmly remembered by all who knew him, but especially missed by his family: siblings, John B. Gross, Jr., Becky Flannery, Beth Gross, and Joe Gross (Barb); and numerous nieces and nephews who were very fond of their uncle Mike. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Bertrand Gross, Sr. and Mary Frances (Owen) Gross; brother, Pat Gross; and sister-in-law, Peggy Gross.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11AM on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at St. John Paul II Catholic Parish, 3539 Goldsmith Lane, Louisville, KY 40220. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home- Bardstown Rd. from 2 PM until 8 PM.
Expressions of Sympathy may be made to Catholic Charities or St. Vincent de Paul Society.

I first met Mike at the Census Bureau in 1980. We hung out alot back then and for many years after. We always had a ton of laughs . I thought about him and typed his name..I didn't know he passed ... he's in my prayers and he was a great person.

I believe Mike and I were classmates at Flaget HS, class of 1964. He will be missed.
