Michael Habr, age 66, passed away in Indianapolis on November 3, 2024. Mike was born in Quebec to his late parents, Vladimir and Velma Habr, on July 12, 1958.
It is with heavy hearts that we remember Mike Habr, a truly remarkable man whose love for classic rock was only matched by his deep commitment to family and friends. A devoted family man, Mike cherished every moment spent with his beloved wife, Esther (Shacklock) Habr, and his children, Sarah (Bobby) Caudill and their son Jacob, as well as his son Joseph (Kyla) Habr and their children Micah, Sophie, and Logan. His warmth and humor lit up every room, and he had an incredible gift for bringing a smile to the faces of those fortunate enough to know him.
Mike found joy in the simple pleasures of life—whether fishing outdoors, sharing laughs with his best friend Mike Titus, or enjoying cozy evenings in front of the television with his wife. His spirit was infectious. He was always quick with a joke or an interesting fact, making every conversation a delightful experience. Mike also enjoyed classic cars and knew a lot about them.
In his youth, Mike was not just a music fan; he was also a soundman for a band, pouring his heart into the craft alongside his friends as they competed in Battle of the Bands. His passion for music mirrored his love for life and the people around him.
Mike had a heart big enough for everyone, and his kindness knew no bounds. He touched the lives of many and left a legacy of love and laughter that will forever be remembered. While we mourn his passing, let us celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, joy, and the unforgettable memories he created with all of us. Mike Habr will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Nineveh Christian Church.
