Charles was a remarkable person that I was lucky to spend a lot of time with during our youth-we hung out as teens and roomed together in college-I would probably have never graduated if not for him-a great role model and supportive friend-wishing him a smooth transition into his next level of awareness-

Although Charlie was 8 years older than me (and brother Mike, 11 yrs. older), he was always willing to help me with questions about life and later - career. The first critical advice he gave me, when I was in 6th grade - "Rob, don´t wear your striped surfer shirt with plaid shorts", followed by - "white socks are OUT". A few years later, while I obsessed over being "short", he said don´t worry about it - and then as a sophomore in HS, when I hit my growth spurt, he told people that he was certain that I had willed myself to grow. After college, and not fully committed to continue teaching HS, he connected me with one of his suppliers - starting me off on a very rewarding 45 year career in sales. He also was there, to advise me, at mid-career decisions - always offering thoughtful ideas and brotherly support. My only regret is not getting him out for a road trip, it would have been so much fun.

Condolences To the family. My fondest memories of Charlie was always summertime swimming at Uncle Herman & Aunt Gayle´s swimming pool. He actually saved my life when I was five years old. I had fallen into the pool and he jumped in and pulled me out. You will be missed cousin. I wished we hadn´t drifted apart as we got older. You rest in heaven and give everyone a big hug for me.
