Pastor Michael Haley

Pastor Michael David Haley age 69, passed away Monday, May 23, 2022. He was born May 8, 1953 in Royal Oak to Ronald and Anna Mae Haley
Pastor Michael was a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and a dear friend to all. He will best be remembered for his love he showed to all. He had a beautiful singing voice and a great love for music. Pastor Mike and his beautiful wife, Sharon, faithfully served and shepherded Ferndale Assembly of God for 16 years. He loved people and had a heart to help those in need. Every Saturday, he and others from the church would pass out lunches to people and share the love of Jesus with all those he met. He also faithfully served at Troy Assembly of God for 25 years as the Prime Timers Pastor, Worship leader, Sunday school teacher, board member and a faithful servant of the Lord. He was the sponsor for Women's Aglow, Royal Oak Chapter and helped minister at the American House Assisted Living Center in Hazel Park and Regency Assisted Living Center in Waterford. He ministered at the church, nursing homes, and to everyone he met until he went home with Jesus. He fought the good fight, he finished the race, and he kept the faith.
Pastor Mike was a design draftsman for Cadillac and other GM vehicles. He did all this while serving and helping people in the church and in the community. He shared the light of Jesus wherever he went. He was a lover of music and had a beautiful and amazing operatic tenor voice. He was a part of "The Gilbert Jackson Chorale" for 33 years where he used his vocal talent to uplift others through beautiful music.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Haley, whom he married March 17, 1973 in Clarkston at Good Shepherd Assembly of God; and his children, Angela (Isac) Gradinariu, John (Mary) Haley, and Michael (Ember) Haley. He loved, adored and was very proud of his six grandchildren, Martin, Josiah, Michael, Faith, Ronald, and Bodhi. Also surviving him are his mother, Anna Mae Haley, and his siblings, Bruce Haley, Jennifer (Tom) Sweiboda; and Brian (Angela) Haley. Preceding him in his death are his father, Ronald Haley, and sister, Judy Brock.
The family will receive friends Saturday, May 28 11:00 AM until the time of the service 1:00 pm at Ferndale Assembly of God 1221 W. Nine Mile Rd. Ferndale. The funeral will process to Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley for committal prayers.
