Michael Harris, affectionately known as "Grampy," passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024 at the age of 62, surrounded by his loving family. A proud Florida native, Michael was raised in Lutz, Florida and graduated from Chamberlain High School.
Michael dedicated 37 years to Bank of America, where he served as Vice President Banking Center Manager and later as a Small Business Specialist. His career was marked by dedication, leadership, and a commitment to helping others.
Outside of work, Michael found his greatest joy in his family. Whether it was watching sunsets at the beach, cruising with family and friends, attending his grandchildren's school and sports activities, or shopping, Michael cherished every moment spent with those he loved. He adored his role as "Grampy" and was happiest when surrounded by his six grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and laughter.
Michael is survived by his mother, Shirley Harris; his son Chad Harris (Erika Harris); his daughter Amber Harris (Jr. Estremera); his beloved grandchildren, Alivia, Kyleigh, Jaelyn, Karsyn, Kayden, and Ayden; his sisters Cheryl Parker and Connie Lane; and his brothers Bruce Harris and Alan Harris. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Gene Harris and sister Kathy Bryant.
Michael will be remembered for his kind heart, warm smile, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends. His legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the many friends, family members, and caregivers who provided comfort and support to Michael during his final days.
A Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 11:00am to 12:00pm, with the Funeral Service scheduled to begin at 12:00pm at Loyless Funeral Homes, Main Chapel, 5310 Land O' Lakes Blvd., Land O' Lakes, Florida 34639. Interment to immediately follow at Lutz Cemetery, 201-217 5th Ave NE, Lutz, FL 33549

I am so sorry for the loss. Mike worked with my mother for many years and she adored him from the very beginning. Since then, 1980 I believe, there wasn´t a time that I didn´t hear about "Mike Harris". My brother and I would see him at the company picnic showing everyone how softball was played...until Pam got up to bat. (I went to school with Kim and both of those girls could play). Anyway, Mike was a good friend to my mom which was always appreciated. We pray for peace for his family.

In loving memory of Michael, whose warmth and kindness left a lasting impact on all who knew him. Though we may have drifted apart over the years, I will always hold dear the memories of him and the kids. Michael´s love for Chad and Amber was unwavering, and he cherished them with every fiber of his being. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
