Michael Eugene Henderson, 82, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on September 20, 1942, to the late Pete and Marcella "Girlie" Henderson, Mike lived a full and meaningful life, marked by a deep love for his family, dedication to his work and an unwavering kindness to all.
He was a devoted husband to his wife, Martha Henderson for 61 years. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter and cherished memories. Mike is also survived by their son, Mike Henderson Jr. (Shannon), and was Papa to their five grandchildren-Anna Bargeron (TJ), Melanie Henderson (Megan), Freeman Patton, Dustin Henderson, and Will Henderson; and two great-grandchildren, Braxton and Bethany Bargeron, all of whom he cherished deeply.
A proud graduate of North Greenville Junior College and Furman University, Mike's commitment to education and hard work laid the foundation for his many accomplishments.
Mike's professional life was defined by his 47 years of service at Cryovac, where he was known for his hard work, dedication, and strong work ethic. Throughout his career, he made lasting impressions as a role model and mentor to many, guiding others with his wisdom and kindness.
Mike had a deep passion for golf, particularly at Holly Tree Country Club, where he enjoyed countless rounds with friends and family. His love for the game brought him joy, challenge, and camaraderie, and he eagerly shared his enthusiasm with others.
Above all, Mike was a man of unconditional love, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and integrity. He touched the hearts of all who knew him, and his love and support will be remembered by all. Mike will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from noon until 1:15 p.m. at Glendale Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 1:30. Entombment will be in the Graceland East Memorial Park Mausoleum.
