Michael Joseph Henggeler, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24th, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on Tuesday, October 12th, 1965, in Maryville, Missouri, Mike was a cherished resident of Guilford, MO, where he lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication.
Mike was a graduate of Northeast Nodaway High School and spent 33 years working concrete and the last 25 as Supervisor, most recently with E.L. Crawford Construction in St. Joseph, MO. His career began with Loch Sand and Construction in Maryville, where he built a reputation for excellence and hard work.
Beyond his professional life, Mike was a man of many passions. He found joy in his "hobby farm," where he tended to cows, put up hay, and managed row crops. His happiest moments were spent in his tractor, and checking the cows with him was always an adventure. Known for his wonderful sense of humor and penchant for pranks, Mike brought laughter to all who knew him.
The Christmas season held a special place in Mike's heart. He loved everything about it, especially playing Santa Claus, a role he embraced with joy and generosity for anyone who asked. His dedication to his family was unwavering, and he always worked to free up time for his cherished grandchildren.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, LaShawna Henggeler, of the home; his devoted parents, Leroy and Judy Henggeler of Stanberry, MO; his son, Auston Henggeler of Coffey, MO; his daughter, Payton (Will) Boswell of Ravenwood, MO; and his stepsons, Kyle (Danielle) Hansen of Hopkins, MO, and Shane Pankau of Conception Junction, MO. He also leaves behind his brother, Matt (Ashley) Henggeler of Conception Junction, MO; his sisters, Katrina (Dan) Gallagher of Smithville, MO, and Mary (Rick) Palmer of Stanberry, MO; and five beloved grandchildren, Keegan, Marriah, Madden Kay, Wrenley Mae, and Janee. Mike's extended family includes numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held at Bram Funeral Home in Maryville, MO, on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
