Michael Wayne Hopp, 54, of Maynard, Arkansas, departed this life on January 12, 2026, at St. Bernards Five Rivers Hospital in Pocahontas.
Michael was born on February 24, 1971, in Belleville, Illinois, to Louis Allen “Tom” Hopp and Frances Looney. An entrepreneur by trade, Michael was known for his independent spirit and determination. He loved to travel and he cherished his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Allen “Tom” Hopp.
Michael is survived by his mother, Frances Looney; his siblings, Jesse Massey of Belleville, Illinois, Lisa Simington of Ola, Arkansas, Wendy Kratz of Maynard, Arkansas, Tabatha Goodman of Maynard, Arkansas, and Jim Looney of Pocahontas, Arkansas. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, along with other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, with funeral services beginning at 12:00 p.m., officiated by Jeff Hamm. All services will be held at Great Harvest Church. Burial will follow at Ingram Cemetery.
