Michael L. Hovis entered into rest on Monday August 18, 2025, at the age of 68. Beloved partner of Renee White; devoted father of Chris (Samantha) White; cherished grandfather of Eleanor and Loretta White; and dear son of the late Raymond and the late Anna, nee Greer, Hovis. Michael is also survived by many other dear friends and relatives.
Michael was known for his easy smile and generous heart. Mike never met a stranger; he had a way of making people feel welcome and at ease, and his optimism and excitement for life was contagious. He was the kind of person who always stopped to pet a dog; believed in the power of good food and a cold drink; and lived for the simple joys of life – especially sunshine and warm weather.
His warmth, humor, and big-hearted nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
May Michael rest in peace as his legacy lives on in our memories and hearts.
In memory and honor of Michael, please consider registering as a donor with Mid-America Transplant Service.
Respectfully, there are no public services at this time.
