Michael D. Hudson

Michael D.Hudson, beloved husband. father. brother and Papa passed away peacefully after a short illness on July 21, 2025, at the age of 77.

Michael had so many adventures in his lifetime and he loved to share about them, whether it involved his years serving in the U.S. Airforce, his college experiences at Murray State, majoring in Music while leading church youth groups in Cadiz. KY,. his truly treasured learning at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. which laid the foundation for his continuous spiritual growth and prepared him for his music ministry in the Bahamas and later in various other churches, teaching music, or his wonderful times at Field Elementary School leading the school choir (and writing a song about Freddy the Field Mouse!) Music was his deep passion, which he expressed through composing, performing, conducting and sharing freely with others.

Michael is survived by his wife, Gloria Barnes Hudson, his children Matthew Hudson, Andrea Martin and Eliza MacLean Maynor (Dustin), grandchildren Xander Martin, Emilie and Claire Maynor, his sister Bonnie Lambert (Ken) and brothers Terry (Sandy) and Tim Linville.

A Memorial Gathering for Michael will be held for friends and family in late September.
