Michael Ray Irwin, 50, passed away and went home to be with The Lord on January 17, 2024. Michael was a beloved son, cherished friend, and a dedicated witness for Christ Jesus.
Michael found great comfort in his faith and was an active member of the Christ Gospel Church congregation, where his presence brought warmth and joy to those around him. His unwavering commitment to his spiritual journey touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on the community he held dear.
Beyond his spiritual pursuits, Michael was a talented handyman, known for his skillful craftsmanship and willingness to lend a helping hand. His ability to bring solutions to various challenges endeared him to those who benefited from his talents.
Michael Ray Irwin will be remembered not only for his skills and contributions but also for the kindness and love he shared with everyone fortunate enough to know him. As we mourn his passing, we celebrate a life well-lived and find solace in the memories of a man who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who crossed his path.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Irwin, Jr.; sister, Valerie Sorrels; and grandparents, Ed and Bonnie Reach.
Survivors include his mother, Deborah Walker; sister, Michelle Mitchell; aunt, Gayle Faith; and canine companion, Nellie.
Graveside services for Michael will be celebrated 1 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2024, at Tunnel Hill Cemetery in Edwardsville, Indiana. Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway – Jeffersonville, has been entrusted with arrangements.
