William Brace Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Scott Funeral Home on Jan. 20, 2026.
William "Bill" Brace, age 77, passed away on January 18, 2026. He was born on September 26, 1948, and lived a life defined by curiosity, creativity, and quiet strength.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Juliann "Juli" Brace; his son, Shawn Brace, and his wife, Sarah; brothers: Rex Brace and his wife, Kathy; Terry Brace and his wife, Barbara; and his cherished grandchildren, Declan and Olivia, who brought him great pride and joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Ernest and Sue (Talley) Brace, and his brother, Richard Brace.

Bill was a 1966 graduate of Jeffersonville High School. An avid traveler, Bill spent many of his retirement years exploring the world alongside his bride, Juli. Whether near the water or discovering new places, he found peace and inspiration in movement, reflection, and shared experiences. An entrepreneur at heart, Bill loved building systems, solving problems, and seeing what could be created through patience, logic, and thoughtful design. He was introspective by nature, yet deeply appreciative of the meaningful moments he shared with those he loved most.

Bill will be remembered for his steady presence, his thoughtful mind, and the quiet way he showed his love-through time, example, and care rather than words. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the values he modeled, and the many lives he touched simply by being himself. May his memory be a blessing, and may he be at peace, forever traveling onward.

Memorial Services will be held 7 PM on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Scott Funeral Home (2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville), officiated by Pastor Rex Brace. Friends may visit from 4PM until service time on Friday.
