Michael Wayne Ivie, 81, of Stover, passed away Monday, September 8, 2025.
He was born on April 19, 1944, in Wolfs Summit, WV, a son of William David and Wanda Ailene (Ballard) Ivie. On January 26, 1965, he married Dixie Lee White who preceded him in death on February 22, 2025.
Michael honorably served his country in the United States Army, carrying with him a deep sense of duty and pride in his service. Following his time in the military, he built a strong work ethic that carried through to his most recent position as a Forklift Operator at Tyson Foods in Sedalia.
He was a man who found joy in the simple things, Michael loved being outdoors. He enjoyed scraping and junking, cutting firewood, and spending time in nature.
He is survived by five children: Denise Ivie, Robert Ivie and wife Amanda Sue, Michael Ivie and wife Rhonda, Chris Ivie and wife Billie, and Daniel Ivie, all of Stover; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; one special great-great-grandchild; one brother, Lemuel Barton Ivie; two sisters, Linda Lentz and Leta Jane Plack; along with many extended family members and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife Dixie; and one brother, David Cecil Ivie.
Michael’s wishes were to be cremated, and no services are scheduled at this time.
