Herman E. Ivie,85, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025 with his family by his side.
Herman was born on September 21,1939 in Hillsboro, Texas to Johnny and Beatrice Ivie. He served 11 years in the National Guard and married Willie Mae White in Arlington, Texas on December 29, 1971. Herman was a self-employed masonry contractor and a member of the American Legion - Commander in Burleson, Texas from 1999 to 2004. He loved classic country music and spending time with family and friends.
Herman was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Ellis Ivie and Beatrice Louise Ivie; brothers, Charles Ivie, Johnny Ivie; sister, Frances Shatwell; son in laws, Jim Fallon, Charlie Whitehead and Danny Hash.
Survivors: Wife, Willie Mae Ivie; daughters, Debra Ivie Fallon, Brenda Ivie Whitehead and Sharon Ivie Hash; son, Timothy Ivie and wife Stephanie; sisters, Betty Buchanan. Joyce Williams and husband Ronnie, Nell Hooker and Catherine Cathy; grandchildren, Misty Hash, Trey Fallon and wife Jaykay, Brian Whitehead, Courtney Whitehead and Mason Ivie; great grandchildren, Devin Barbarick and wife Chyenene, Katie Barbarick-Rosas and husband Jesus, Chloe St. Clair and Milo Fallon; numerous nieces, nephews, and many special friends.
Herman was the best Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He always did it his way. There will never be another one like him.
