NORTH BROOKFIELD: Michael T. Jackson, aged 63, passed away on March 6, 2025, at UMASS after a brave battle with illness.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Brenda (Tretheway) Jackson, and his children: daughter Lisa Kuhne of Waterbury, CT, and son Benjamin Jackson of Alamogordo, New Mexico. Michael also leaves behind five brothers—Grover Adams, Gary Adams, Russell Jackson, Charles Jackson, and Jeffrey Jackson—as well as seven sisters—Charlene Lucas, Dianna Hogg, Eva Fletcher, Valerie Wadden, Brenda Phillips, Victoria Avedian, and Doris Jackson. He was a proud grandfather to Kaylee Thomas and Derek Kuhne, and a great-grandfather to Oliver Thomas. Michael was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Marjorie (Johnson) Jackson, his sisters Colleen Jackson, Loreen Faust, and his brothers Edward Palmer, Dale Jackson, Thomas Jackson, Glen Adams, and Wayne Adams.

Born in Worcester, Michael completed his education at David Prouty High School and later served his country honorably in the United States Army. Following his military service, he worked as a machinist, road construction driver, Nevada State worker, and Contracted Postal Driver.

Michael had a passion for outdoor activities, particularly fishing, hunting, and target shooting, and cherished camping trips throughout the United States with his family. He shared a special bond with his grandson Derek, with whom he enjoyed exploring American history with.

Known affectionately as the family jokester, Michael enjoyed bringing joy and laughter to those around him.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 18, from 9 to 11 AM at the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, located at 51 Marcy St., Southbridge.  Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
