Michael Kevin Jacobs

Michael Kevin Jacobs unexpectedly passed into eternal life on Monday, June 12, 2023. He was born on March 27, 1967 in Boston, Massachusetts to Nemiah Henry Jacobs and Bettye Sue (Myers) Jacobs, both of whom were originally from Mississippi. Michael grew up in Dorchester and lived in the Boston area for his entire life but spent many happy summers in Mississippi and New York with his grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins.
Michael graduated from the Boston Latin Academy and obtained further training as a Licensed Practical Nurse from Quincy College. He worked as a nurse in a variety of hospital and health care settings. He is also a Veteran, having served 20 years in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Michael overcame a few challenges early in his life and was a proud member of Narcotics Anonymous ("NA") for the past 32 years. He shared his professional and counseling skills to help guide others on their recovery journeys.
Michael was predeceased by his parents and brother, James Edward Jacobs. He leaves Cheryl Alexis, his wife of 3½ years, and five beloved children – Marah Jacobs (partner, Osa Orija) of Hingham, MA; Madison, Malana and Bryce Jacobs all of Braintree, MA; and Marissa Jacobs (fiancé, Aaric Jacobson) of Lynchburg, VA. He also leaves his aunt, Dorothy Mae Myers Taylor of Hempstead, NY; uncles, Judge Myers (wife Joyce) of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Gilbert Myers of Hempstead, NY; and a host of cousins and close friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 13th at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Randolph, located at 518 N. Main St., Randolph MA 02368. The Church will try to stream the service on Facebook live (see https://www.facebook.com/fbcrandolph/). Interment with military honors will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Friday, July 14th at 10:45 a.m.
There is no doubt that Michael loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Those of us who share this love for our Lord can look forward to seeing Michael again in Paradise. Michael would want all who mourn for him to make a choice now to accept the atoning sacrifice of our Lord so that they, too, can share in the blessing of eternal life.
