Michael Junior Poindexter, of Holbrook, Massachusetts, went to be with the Lord on July 27, 2025, at the age of 69.

Born on May 17, 1956, in Boston, Massachusetts, Michael was known by all for his unwavering faith in the Lord. He was always eager to share the Word of God and often left others with spiritual readings to help deepen their understanding. His passion for ministry and devotion to Jesus Christ left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Even in childhood, he was always willing to talk to new people. He grew up to be an avid basketball fan, a welcoming fisherman, a construction worker, and a singer in his church choir. Michael proudly served in the U.S. Armed Forces and later worked in construction until a debilitating fall on the job changed the course of his life. After recovering from his own personal challenges, he dedicated himself fully to helping others, particularly youth, encouraging them to live purposefully and for Christ. He founded an online ministry called Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth, a platform through which he shared God's message. Wherever he worshipped, he gave his full heart and time, becoming deeply involved in the life of the church. He also spent significant time in healthcare as a caregiver for others. Known for his joyful spirit and love of family, he was always quick to smile and say, "Jesus Saves," especially when posing for pictures.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, William and Nellie Poindexter. He leaves behind his loving daughter, Tameeka Iraola (Golson) of Boston, MA, whom he shared with Bonitha Golson; his cherished grandchildren, Dequell Golson, Shyquell Golson and Maximino Iraola III aka Felly Iraola; great grandchildren, Dequell Golson Jr, Kaleil Golson, Lyla Lloyd, Honest Lloyd and Kodie Corriea; his brother, Thomas Poindexter of Randolph, MA, his sister Margaret Evans (Poindexter) and her husband Wilbur Evans Jr. of Randolph, MA, and brother Jeffery Poindexter of Brookline, MA; cousin Richard Mitchell of NC.. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, neighbors, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Michael's presence, faith, and encouragement will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
- 2 Timothy 4:7

"Well done, good and faithful servant," - Matthew 25:21
