Obituary
Michael William Jacoby, age 58, of Bryan, passed away on May 20, 2023 at the Defiance CHP Inpatient Hospice. Michael worked as a manufacturing engineer at Autoform Tool in Angola.
Michael was born on September 6, 1964, in Wauseon, to the late Frederick R. and Helen D. (Ward) Jacoby. He was an Archbold High School graduate of 1983. Michael loved to hunt, fish, and camp. He enjoyed Nascar, IndyCar, and dirt racing, often going to the races. Mike spent his summers enjoying time on the lake, his falls cheering on his Michigan Wolverines, and his winters and springs cursing the Detroit Lions and Tigers; in all seasons, enjoying his drink of choice, an ice cold Miller Lite. Above all else, Michael loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Michael is survived by his son, Matthew (Meghan) Jacoby of Flowery Branch, Georgia; daughter, Haley (Jacob) Scott of Berkley, MI; daughter, Alexandra (Dylan Mason) Jacoby of Bryan; grandchildren, Olivia and Isla; and significant other, Deb Miller of Archbold. He is also survived by siblings, Sharon (Robert) Liechty, Robert (Darlene) Jacoby, and Nancy (Rex) Vogelsong; sister-in-law, Jodi (Jeff) Frank; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved pets, Lizzie and Truly. Michael was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Jacoby; and nephew, Justin Meyer.
Visitation for Michael will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, at the Grisier Funeral Home in Archbold from 4pm to 7pm. A private family committal service will take place at a later date at the Archbold Cemetery, with Pastor Eric Dailey officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com. The Grisier Funeral Home of Archbold is honored to serve the Jacoby family.
