In Loving Memory of Michael Eugene Johnson Jr.
Michael Eugene Johnson Jr., a cherished resident of Houston, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2024, in the comfort of his home. He was a devoted husband, loving father, loyal friend, and respected member of his community. Mike, born on July 25, 1985, to Barbara Johnson Fliehler, and the late Michael Johnson Sr., departed this world at the young age of 38.
Mike leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his best friend and devoted wife, Allyson Johnson; his brave and beloved son, Brayden Johnson; their faithful family dog, Zoey Johnson; his remarkable mother, Barbara Johnson Fliehler; father, Richard Fliehler; brothers, Kory Johnson and Keith Fliehler; sister, Ericka Seiders; Aunt & Uncle, Carol & Dan Bayer; and a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
In his journey to the heavens, Mike was welcomed by his father, Michael Johnson Sr., and other departed loved ones, where they now watch over those they left behind with eternal love and guidance.
Mike's love story with Ally began in 2015 at Twin Peaks, where she served as his waitress. Amidst shared meals and fleeting glances, a spark ignited between them, leading Mike to depart with Ally's phone number. Over the course of two years, their bond flourished, culminating in a joyous union on October 27, 2017, when Mike proudly bestowed upon Ally his last name. Together, they epitomized friendship and became a trio in 2020 with the arrival of their cherished son, Brayden, on November 18th.
A natural-born father, Mike found his greatest joy in the company of Brayden and Ally, often immersing themselves in nature, exploring parks, and trekking along trails. An accomplished cook, Mike delighted in preparing meals for his loved ones. He also found solace in playing video games and indulging in a diverse array of music, with artists like Eminem, George Strait, Tool, 311, Cody Jinks, Tyler Childers, and Cage the Elephant holding special places in his heart. Mike was an avid and passionate supporter of the Houston Astros, his loyalty to his hometown team was unwavering, bringing him joy and camaraderie with fellow fans throughout the seasons.
Professionally, Mike excelled in outside sales at RW Supply & Design, where his gift of gab and unwavering work ethic earned him the admiration of colleagues and clients alike. He took pride in providing for his family and will be fondly remembered for his infectious personality and dedication to his craft.
Among the tapestry of memories that define Michael's life, his wit and humor stand out as radiant threads, weaving joy and laughter into the fabric of our experiences. His comedic timing and infectious grin demonstrated an unparalleled talent for lightening the gravest of moments, infusing the mundane with mirth. His humor, both sharp and genial, was a beacon of light, charmingly disarming and irresistibly engaging, revealing the depth of his intelligence and the breadth of his empathy. In every jest, every laughter-provoking anecdote, Mike unveiled the essence of his spirit, a testament to the joy he found in every facet of life and the joy he bestowed upon us all.
A man of unwavering faith, Mike was a devout Christian and an active member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. His recent influence led Ally and Brayden to embrace baptism, a beautiful and cherished memory they will forever hold dear.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, April 1st, from 5-8pm, at Klein Funeral Home, located at 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, Texas 77065.
