Michael Allen Johnson, 58, of Green City, Missouri, passed away, Sunday, August 31, 2025 at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Mike was born August 26, 1967 in Columbia, to James (Pete) Oliver Johnson and Virginia (Jaques) Johnson. He grew up in Green City, graduating from Green City High School in 1985. On April 18, 1987, he married Lora Michelle (Slaughter) Johnson and one son was born to this marriage.

Mike is survived by: His wife, Lora Johnson of Green City; son, Brock Michael Johnson of Green City; Grandchildren, Lauren Johnson and Max Johnson; Mother, Virginia Shaw of Milan; Step-Mother, Glenda Johnson of Green City; a brother, Roy Johnson and wife Trisha of Oklahoma; 3 nieces, Brandy Kaiser, Shea Foote, and Terra Johnson; a nephew, Wyatt Johnson; 2 aunts, Carol Cowgill and Barbara McVey; Cousins, Gina Bennett, Jeanette Bogard, Darin Jaques, Susan Martsching, Sheila Billington, Tina Wilford, Jon Crawford, Jeff Crawford, Johna Jefferson, and David Hall, and Jennifer Havel.

He is preceded in death by: His father, James; step father, Earl Shaw; Grandparents, Earl and Margaret Johnson and Miles and Dorothy (Squire) Jaques; an uncle, Robert Jaques; and a cousin, Shane Eugene McVey.

Mike worked construction most of his life and enjoyed woodworking. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and arrowhead hunting.

A visitation for Mike will be held 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home in Green City, Missouri. An inurnment will take place later at the Hawkeye Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Hawkeye Cemetery.
