Michael Veral Kekoa, age 24, passed away August 2, 2025 at his home in Ogden, Utah surrounded by his family. He was born in Ogden, Utah on July 5, 2001 to Travis Adkins and Roxanne Love. He was also loved by his stepfather Timothy Love.
Michael was a high school graduate and had a great love of studying American History.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Michael loved attending mountain man rendezvous, collecting rare coins, antiques, replica guns and hunting knives,
He enjoyed leather working, studying American History, Cowboy History, playing the guitar and harmonica.
Michael lived his life with strong values and dedicated his life to learning all he could about the cowboy way, as he adored cowboys and their way of life. He loved his country and learning everything he could about American History, but most of all he learned all he could about Buffalo Bill, Billy the Kid, and Butch Cassidy.
He is survived by his mother Roxanne Love, his biological father Travis Adkins, stepfather, Timothy Love, sisters; Leilani Love, Keana Love, his brothers; Joshua Stone, Nathaniel Rynes, Karson Adkins, and Gage Adkins, great grandma Sharon Love, great grandpa, Gary Love and aunt Shannon Shindler and uncle Scott Shindler.
He was preceded in death by his grandma, Wanda Smith, uncle, Jay Smith, grandma, Blanch and aunty Leona Cole.
The family wishes to thank Sharon and Gary Love, Bishop Dille and Leslie Foster for always being supportive of Michael, as well as Michael’s aunts and uncles, Suzanne, Lance, Sala and Michael Kekoa and Timothy Love, Michael’s loving stepfather.
Memorial services will be held Saturday August 16, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.
All services will be open to the public for anyone wanting to honor his life. A luncheon will be held at the Riverdale 7th Ward, 1056 W. 4400 S., Riverdale, Utah.
