Michael Kenney Obituary
Michael E. Kenney, 86, of Colona passed away Friday, February 13, 2026 at University of Iowa Health Care Medical Center.
Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services.
Michael was born August 24, 1939 in Peoria, Illinois, the son of Earl and Eva Nichols Kenney. He married Deloris Harrington February 27, 1960 in Rapids City, IL. She preceded him in death February 7, 2026.
Michael retired from Burlington Northern Railway as a conductor-engineer after 45 years of service.
He enjoyed stock car racing with his brother-in-law, Chuck, casinos, playing the ponies, traveling, and was proud of his yard.
Survivors include his children Robert (Sharon) Kenney, David (Jodi) Kenney, Brian (Cari) Kenney and Anissa (Todd) Williams, and several grandchildren.
Michael was preceded by his parents, wife, and brother Patrick.
