Michael K. Knarr, 83, of Centre Twp., passed away Monday, March 9, 2026 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Suzanne M. (Miller) Knarr. They were married January 20, 1962 and celebrated 64 years of marriage.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Karl H. and Dorothy F. (Frantz) Knarr. He graduated from Reading High School in 1961. Michael worked as a shift foreman for Met-Ed at the Titus Station- Birdsboro for 30 + years before retirement. During retirement, he enjoyed working at the Reading Phillies making french fries; and also at the Sovereign Center as an usher for many years. He loved his family, enjoyed fishing, and always enjoyed swimming. He loved to play games, drive fast cars, watch movies, and loved animals. Michael was also a fan of good Chicken Parm.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Barry M. Knarr, husband of Lynda S. (Hart), Tilden Twp., and Lee S. Knarr, husband of Angela T. (Bortz), Alsace Twp.; five grandchildren: Christopher M. Knarr, husband of Cari, Briana L. Knarr, Anthony M. Knarr, husband of Mina, Sean G. Knarr, and Cordelia M. Knarr; and two great-grandchildren: Caleigh, and Sylvester. He is also survived by a sister: June (Knarr) Lerch, West Reading. He was predeceased by a brother: Jay Knarr.
Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 2:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533. A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 pm in the funeral home. For online condolences, please visit www.leibenspergerfuneralhomes.com
