Michael Jerome Kolpacke

KOLPACKE, MICHAEL JEROME Age 66, of Shelby Township, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 13, 2026.

Mike is survived by his loving children, Stephanie (Joseph) Sweet and Bryan (Sierra) Kolpacke, and their mother, Dianne. He is also survived by his brother, Stephen (Kris Munroe) Kolpacke, as well as many cousins, and several nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Joan.

Known for a strong work ethic that carried him through more than 30 years at Stellantis, his commitment was steady, dependable, and deeply respected. A masterful electrician, he was the first call for family and friends whenever a project arose.

A "simple man" at heart, Mike found joy in the classic things: a cold glass of Italian Pinot Grigio, the warmth of the sun during his visits to family and friends in Florida and California, and the familiar thrill of a Detroit Tigers or Red Wings game. Outside of work, Mike was happiest outdoors; walking through parks in Rochester, golfing with friends or tending to his immaculate lawn, a labor of love he took great pride in.

Above all, Mike was a proud father and a caring brother. Mike was his children's biggest fan. From youth hockey games and dance competitions to their accomplishments as adults, he was always there – steady, proud, and cheering them on at every stage of life.

The family is hosting a celebration of life on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 from Noon-3pm at Cherry Creek Golf Course in Shelby Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Mike to the American Heart Association.
