Michael (Mike) John Kosciuszko, 83, of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on June 18th, 2024. Born on February 12th, 1941, in Saginaw, Michigan, he was a devoted Dad, Grandpa, and friend.
Mike spent many years working with his father, brother, and sisters for the family business, Kozy Bail Bond Agency. He would often regale his children and grandchildren with stories of his work adventures and a childhood spent growing up in the 40s and 50s. He shared his experiences of growing up in a different era while his children spent many an evening teaching him how to use his iPhone. When he wasn’t trying to learn something new, he was likely hosting an ice cream party for his grandchildren.
Mike lived a life filled with love, tears, regret, forgiveness, happiness, hope, and faith in God. He loved the Detroit Lions and took great joy in their epic season this past year. He loved his family, neighbors, and friends. He took great joy in their company and was ever concerned for their wellbeing. He enjoyed counting down the days until Christmas and secretly loved Hallmark Christmas movies.
We take comfort in knowing that Dad’s legacy lives on through the lessons he taught, the stories he shared, the love he showed, the memories we have and the charitable impacts he had on others. Dad did not like to be the center of attention and did not publicize his charity, but he took great pride in receiving his annual certificate of appreciation from St Jude Children’s Hospital. In honor of him, please donate your time, money, and/or skill to help someone in need. If you aren’t sure where or how, please consider contributing to St Jude Children’s Hospital in his memory.
