Michael “Mike” J. Koziol, 65, of Bayard, Nebraska, passed away March 20, 2024, at his home with his loving wife by his side. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday April April 20th at 11:00 AM at the John A. Gentleman Mortuaries, 72nd Street Chapel, 1010 N. 72nd Street Omaha, NE. 68114. Mike was born December 12, 1958, in Beaufort, South Carolina. He was adopted by Henry and Virginia Koziol on February 14, 1959. He graduated from Gross High School in Omaha in 1977.
Mike married Linda Mathes on September 23, 1997, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He worked as a mason laying brick and block for several companies in the Omaha area.
Mike and Linda enjoyed traveling together and camping. They also made many memories while trail-riding all across parts of the country.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Koziol; and sister, Mary (James) Shaffar; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Virginia Koziol; brothers, John and Christopher Koziol; sister, Kathy Koziol; and nephew, David Shaffar.
