Michael Lewis Lanford

Michael Lewis Lanford, 65, of Golden Colorado, passed away at home on 3/10/2025, at 6:17 P.M, with his loving partner and family by his side, due to several medical conditions. Michael was born in Wyoming to Virginia & Estevan Lanford. Michael retired from the City and County of Denver, Parks & Rec. He was well liked by his coworkers and staff and was quite the jokester, always making us laugh. He loved to be around his family and Michael was a very good artist. When Debra's sister would see him painting, she would say to him "now what did you do" (lol). He liked lowrider car shows, music, Denver Broncos and the Denver Nuggets. Michael moved to Boston with his uncle Ronnie for a bit and also lived in Wyoming, but found Denver was his true home, He settled down in Golden with the love of his life, Debra Casias. They shared a 54 year friendship until his last 7 years of his life, when they became one. Debra and Michael went on road trips, concerts, Blackhawk (gambling). Debra would pack a picnic and say "come on let's go" and he would say "now where are we going". Debra would take him to the mountains on any road to see where they would end up, and pull out her picnic basket where they would sit and enjoy their time together. He never said "no' to her (lol). Proceeded in death, by his beloved parents Virginia and Estevan Lanford, beloved sister Stephanie Lanford, beloved brother George Tafoya. Survived by his love Debra Casias, sister Rose Ann Lovato and brother-in-law Gerard Lovato, brother Frank Lanford, sister-in-law Murletta Lanford. Several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins who he loved very much. Family meant everything to him!
