Michael David Larmour

With great sadness, we announced the passing of Michael Larmour, 71, after a long illness on December 4, 2024. Born in Detroit, Michigan on September 7, 1953, Mike came to Lexington as a young child. He attended St. Paul, Beaumont, and Lafayette. Mike went on to join the Army, where he served in Korea and worked in the motor pool for the M.P.
He then came home and went to night school while working at UPS. He was a journeyman in the local electrical union, before opening his own business, Mike Larmour Electric, in 1979, where he was the electrical contractor for many of the large apartment complexes and housing developments in Lexington and surrounding counties.
Mike was proceeded in death by his parents, Leo and Marguerite Larmour; four brothers, Jimmy, Larry, Billy, and John; and his nephew Duane Larmour. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Debra Jasper Larmour; their daughter, Ashley Larmour; son, Kevin (Erin) Larmour; grandson, Issac; and he is also survived by his brothers, Jerry (Susan) and Chuck (Mikki) Larmour; and many loving niece and nephews.
Mike enjoyed lots of outdoor activities in his younger days and was a member of the Bluegrass Sportsman League, where he enjoyed shooting skeet and trap. He loved his cars and car racing. He will be greatly missed.
A 10:00am service will take place Saturday, December 14, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Harrodsburg Rd. Burial will follow at the Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Friday, December 13, at the funeral home.
Pall bearers include: Kevin Larmour, Isaac Gray, Donnie Larmour, Robbie Larmour, Doug Jasper, and Derrick Brinegar.
