Michael Linde Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 4, 2024.
Michael "Brian" Linde passed away suddenly at his home Saturday February 24, 2024. Brian was at home with his family - Jelena, Tamara and Marko. All efforts to revive him both at home and at the hospital were unsuccessful.
Brian was born in Rockford, Illinois. Two years later moved to Okemos, Michigan where his sister Shana was born. The family then moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. And after ten years, moved to Jacksonville, Florida where Brian and his family lived.
After graduation from Mandarin High School, Brian started a six year enlistment in the United States Marine Corp as a reservist: CoB 4th Amphibious Assault Battalion 4th Marine Division Jacksonville, FL. In 1995, he joined Honeywell as a Technical Support Specialist, USMC MPF Program. Brian graduated from Columbia College earning a B.S. degree in Computer Information Systems. Over the past twenty-three years Brian worked for five different companies. He was last employed with Republic National Distributing Company as a Technical Analyst, Sales, Performance Management. He previously was employed as Associate Director, Office of Technology, Jacksonville University. As a form of exercise he worked a part time a job at Home Depot near his home for the past couple of years.
Brian is survived by Jelena and their two wonderful children, Tamara and Marko, both at home; by his parents Nancy and Michael Linde of Jacksonville; and sister Shana, her husband Damon, along with their children Gracyn and Elijah Clark all of Cary, N.C.
An avid reader, who was constantly reading and learning, Brian enjoyed going to the shooting range and sporting clays. He loved to travel and learn history and of different cultures. Much of his of time was spent on taking his children to tennis practice and tournaments. He spent a lot of time with his children who were so very important to him. He was a proud, loving, and wonderful father.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, worked with him, and loved him.
A visitation for Michael will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM.

I worked with `Mike´ for a number of years at Convergys. We were good friends and Marine Corps brothers. We had many great conversations about many things. Rest in peace. You will be missed.

While not knowing Brian personally I know his father, Mike. Since Brian looks a lot like his dad I´m sure Brian had many similar character qualities that his dad has. The one that first comes to mind is "faithful ". Mike Linde is faithful to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to his wife, Nancy, to his children and grand children. I feel certain that Brian´s family have a very large hole in their hearts right now and I´m praying that "the God of all comfort " will minister to their hearts as is needed bring comfort, hope and answers. I'm certain because it´s true.
