Michael Loney, 34, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 10, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on May 1, 1990 in Owensboro, KY and lived his life dedicated to his family, career, and passions.
Michael worked in banking for over 10 years, most notably with U.S. Bank, where he built lasting relationships and took great pride in his work. Starting out as a temp, and rising through the ranks to Capacity Planner making staffing models.
A true football enthusiast, Michael was a lifelong Patriots fan, always immersed in the world of fantasy football, his love for sports extended through just watching games; he made it a true part of his life. He also cherished his collection of football trading cards, Pokémon, Digimon, and video games. Above all, Michael loved his family. He cherished time spent with family, especially moments of joy, laughter, and love.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louise and J.C. Mills, and Earl Loney.
He is survived by his parents, Greg and Jeanette Loney; siblings, David (Brandy), Justin (Destiny), Amber (James); grandmother, Faye Loney; nephews, Zach and Ben Ash, and Matthew Loney; niece, Olivia Loney and numerous cousins, Aunts, and Uncles.
A service to celebrate Michael's life will be at Noon on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Cecil Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation is from 12:00-4:00 Sunday, October 13, 2024 and after 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Michael will be remembered for his kindness his dedication to his loved ones, and his passion for life. He will be deeply
missed but never forgotten.
